I have used this set for over 18 months and absolutely love everything about them...the only downfall in my mind is that they don't have coordinates for the set...I'd love to add serving bowls and desert dishes etc. The mugs, which appear to be stoneware, are very durable and have a nice thin'er' rim (unlike the old corelle mugs which I hated drinking from)but have enough 'bulk' to feel like a 'real' mug. I have a house full of people using them daily and we haven't broken one yet. They add so much color and class to a simple meal.

When I saw the picture of this Watercolors dinnerware set, I was attracted to the bright, cheerful and variety of prints per piece. I looked forward to the delivery date, but lo, just as soon as I opened the box and saw the dinner plate, was I so disappointed. I love paintings and flowers in all their colorful settings, but to my regret I realized such do not go hand in hand with the simpler print in chinas and more subdued colors I in actuality prefer. I thought that just because I was attracted to certain colorful dishes, I will be happy with this set. Thank God, I waited to personally see them for myself before ordering a second set. I am much happier with my more subdued Textured Leaves Corelle that I just bought as I have decided it will be this set with the textured leaves pattern that I will buy to make a service of eight plus the coordinating Corelle servewares of the said pattern.)
The Watercolor dinner plates are somewhat heavier than the regular Corelle plates and I realized it is because they are almost half an inch bigger than the regular Corelle dinner plates. The pattern around the rim is about one and half inches wide and although my textured leaves pattern (another new Corelle set I bought), has a one and one fourth wide pattern around the rim, at least this another set has a more subdued olive pattern and sandstone color in the center. The Watercolors mugs on the other hand that are of Stoneware in material and are made in China come lighter green in color when in actuality, and they look lovely in their pastel hues (not too bright).
I wish to return my Watercolors Corelle set, but it is a hassle. Am awaiting for my Italian boyfriend to come and see them for himself and am sure he would not want me to return them. He likes them bright, colorful and cheerful (as I initially had found them to be attractive that way in the first place). I will use this set when am feeding him while I will use the more subdued olive and sandstone textured leaves Corelle set when entertaining.

Corelle Impressions Watercolors is a beautiful addition to our family Dinner Table. It's design is colorful, bright and makes for a great presentation at all meals. It was delivered on time and in a well packaged box. Large mugs make for a great serving. Sturdy and dishwasher safe. Great price to boot!
Very pretty dishes February 11, 2010

Like someone else said, the cups are much lighter colored than in the picture, however, they still look nice. The dinner plate and bowl are also lighter colored than in the picture, but the salad plate is a little darker than the picture. Since others have posted about the terrible noise made when you scrape the salad plate, I tried it right away and it really is not that bad, NOT like finger nails on a chalkboard. It would mostly happen from a knife, which I will not often be using on the salad plate anyway. If anything, the feel of the rim of the dishes, where the colored area is, bothers me more than the scrape noise. But it's not that big of a deal. The dishes overall are very pretty and do not have the traditional plain white Corelle look. Mine arrived packed pretty well inside of two boxes and none were broken. The bowls are shallow, but I could see that in the picture before I ordered, and they are very useful to me as we eat a lot of pasta, salads and casseroles, for which they work great. I bought two sets, and would order them again.
