Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review Winner of a 2002 international design award, Loft dinnerware epitomizes an urban, modern lifestyle with its clean, all-white forms. Equally suitable for a celebratory dinner party or an impromptu brunch on the rooftop terrace, the German-made porcelain is elegantly spare except for a subtle pattern of fine, ever-so-slightly raised white lines that form concentric circles or squares, depending upon the shape of the piece. This 11-inch round dinner plate features a contemporary flattened coupe shape without a raised border, affording maximum use of the plate surface. Rosenthal, long one of Germany's most prestigious porcelain manufacturers, produces dinnerware that graces the tables of outstanding hotels and restaurants worldwide. Loft was created by London's Queensberry-Hunt Design Group for Thomas, a Rosenthal brand that melds innovation and mass production. A fitting choice for the design-savvy, Loft mixes and matches round, oval, square, and rectangular pieces for a highly individualized dining aesthetic. Each piece is safe for the microwave and dishwasher and comes handsomely gift-boxed. --Ann Bieri
Product Description The Loft pattern has a very subtle linear quality thanks to a hint of a ridged texture. The purity of white porcelain combined with the innovative designs will appeal to sophisticated tastes.

Customer Reviews: Grand, elegant but a bit to deep May 12, 2010 CST (Colorado, United States) A beautiful large dinner plate. Since it is of lip-less design I wish it was a tad shallower as it is almost bowl like. It's the opposite of the issue I have with the matching 9.5 inch soup bowl which is ironically, too shallow.
None the less, it's beautiful quality porcelain and the very subtle concentric circles are quite elegant. I'm certain I'll get comfortable with them both.

This and other Rosenthal plates were purchased on Amazon for my daughter in Seattle. The speed, efficiency and packaging of the products was outstanding.
