Product Description Playful, unexpected, spirited, colorful, modern, crisp and clean – this is Zak! The True Blue Garlic Peeler is Zak, through and through! It's made of silicone. Silicone has been popular for some time because of its durability and versatility. Peeler is easy to use; simply insert single or multiple garlic cloves in the silicone tube, press and roll – then pour out your fresh peeled garlic. It's that easy! Garlic Peeler is dishwasher safe, so cleanup is easy too. Stylish marine, true blue color – inspired by the colors of the sea and sky. Peeler measures 5" in length and 1.25" in diameter. | Customer Reviews: Garlic paper remover is the best July 27, 2010 Amazon Zombie (Santa Barbara, CA) I cook with a lot of garlic so this device gets a workout in our home. The garlic peeler easily and consistently removes all that annoying paper from the cloves, either one at a time or a few at a time.
It's so easy, I have my 8 year old doing the job for me when I cook dinner. He whines about it but knows it will always work. And he can peel me 4 to 6 cloves in about a minute or two.
It's better than removing the paper in the microwave because the microwaves soften the garlic and make it more difficult to chop. It's also cleaner than removing the paper by smashing the garlic with a mallet, the side of a knife, or a can because then you have to pick off the paper, and you have a smashed garlic which may not be the desired outcome.
